JustRingRing.com was founded to solve a simple but growing problem. More and more phone are being delivered complete with the most amazing range ringtones, you can choose anything you like from Nokia's take on White Christmas to the latest HelloMoto wonder. If that's not good enough for you then you can click through to your operators portal and download a veritable torrent of top 20 pop and dance sensations. The only trouble with all of this is that for most of us living in the real world, that is not in school or some reality TV show, the option to blast our work colleagues with Gnarls Barkley's Crazy is not available. What we need is a simple, un-annoying, acceptable ring from our beloved phones.

The following blog posts capture something of what led us to build the site. If you have others do let us know, we look forward to hearing from you.

... Please shut up, please shut up?

Okay, now that I've got your attention, what do you think about people with these insidious ringtones which are so damn annoying, you're sitting there thinking 'Would you please hurry up and answer your phone, I'm going insane?'

My god, I am sitting at the GP's office waiting to see the doctor, and this phone starts chirping that 'Would the real slim shady...' song. You can tell which song it is just from the first few beats, and that alone would be just fine. But what's with the lyrics? Who actually puts a ringtone that has lyrics on their phone? It's so annoying.

Or what is worse, is when someone puts some romantic touchy feely song on their phone. Something on the scale of 'my heart will go on...', and it suddenly plays from somewhere unknown, and you turn around, and some sad women is taking an unbaringly long amount of time to answer their phone because they are stuck in the moment of it, and you can just tell that a tear is going to form.

What do people think of annoying ringtone songs? Anything that really annoys you?

Do you think people should think twice about how embarrassing they probably look to everyone else? This is more embarrassing then that guy from Everyone hates chris singing that shout song on his walkman.

Annoying Ringtones - Crazy But Not Offensive

The line between 'genius' and 'annoying' is a thin one. Dr Stephen Hawking: Genius. Dr Stephen Hawking dressed as a frog on a motorbike going 'bimbimbimbim bodumbom bom': Annoying. In fact, almost anything to do with the Crazy Frog is so annoying, it's starting to border on offensive.
The Sun reports that almost four hundred people have complained about the infamous Crazy Frog ringtone, being shown repeatedly on primetime television. At last, peace could be forthcoming for the safety of us who are constantly subjected to the annoying nuisance of crap ringtones.

However, the ASA (Advertising Standards Agency) cannot act on the complaints and only controls the content of the adverts, not the amount of times they are shown. Well, can't they change the rules before people really start losing it? The watchdog is telling people to complain to the television channels who show it, and also to Jamster, who are responsible for the creation of the ringtones. Bless us for pointing that out. The Sun quotes a source from Kent as saying: 'The ad makes my blood boil'. Jamster are also quoted as saying: 'The vast majority love it. It will continue while people want it'. I am quoting myself as saying: 'Who wants this intrusive mobile ringtone terrorism malarky, reveal yourself!'

Also, how about that Nessie The Dragon ringtone 'Fly with me', surely more annoying than the last Crazy Frog. Or what about that rubbish little yellow bird, professing his love to the other bird on the branch.

Thankfully, now there is a new version for the Crazy Frog, the Axel Foley (Beverley Hills Cop) ringtone, which starts off pretty ok with that 'ding ding ding ding ding'. However, it all gets very annoying after that, and it's not amusing in the least. The horrible mobile ringtones have surely become a source of involuntary extreme aggression for many people.

Will it ever stop? If you hear someone with one of these ringtones than warn them of the damage they are doing to others!

Please, Jamster have mercy on us all!
